Light Reflective Values

Since the publication in 2004 of ‘Access to and Use of Buildings’ in the Building Regulations, concerning provisions to assist the disabled, including those who are visually impaired, light reflective value testing has become important to designers, manufacturers and building owners.

The guidance highlights the need for certain surfaces and features to “contrast visually” with their surroundings. With this in mind CE Solutions have performed light reflective value (LRV) tests on the standard finishes shown here.
